New Boy just "broke up" with me. Whatever.
He was all "I don't have time to date someone."
I was all "Uh, okay, then why'd you start dating me?"
He was all "I don't really think there's potential for a relationship."
I was all "Whoa, we went on three dates. I wasn't even sure what the relationship was yet. I just wanted someone to make out with."
I can't say I'm all that surprised or even all that upset, just perplexed.
I told my friend K. about it and she said that like after the third date boys get scared that something serious might happen.
She also was like "Yay, now I can hook you up with my friend!"
At one point in the fairly brief conversation, he said something about me being "different from other girls." And he meant it in a good way, I think. Historically, I've gotten that from boys a lot.
I'm not sure what it means. I like to think that it means "not afraid to show I'm smart" as opposed to "not pretty."
