I'd tell you why, but I don't know
My new job is pretty good so far. Mostly it involves making desserts involving ice cream and serving people ice cream cones.
It is run by this Italian family who seem to discuss everything by yelling at each other. Not like in a mean way, but more like it's just their way. The bad thing is I work a lot of weekends, which means I'll be missing a lot of Twin Peaks. (They air it at 5 on weekends on one of my exciting digital cable channels).
I only had three drinks last night, but I guess only three drinks is still three drinks when you had a grilled cheese sandwich for supper, though they didn't really hit me until I got home.
The thing is, I woke up thirsty at 6AM and then slept fitfully until it was time to go to work, harrassed by my dreams.
Sample dream: I am lying in bed with my crack computer repair team (not in an X-rated way, just that we happened to be lying in my bed and talking) and I suggested that we meet for dinner on a given day. My crack computer repair team says, snootily and most dismissively, "I'm really busy that day." Offering no further explanation. And in my dream I was just like "Okay..." and accepted it because I felt like I couldn't just ask "What are you busy doing?" even though that's totally what I would do in real life. I woke up kind of mad at my crack computer repair team until I remembered that it was only in my dream that my crack computer repair team was such a jerk, not in real life.
Then I was kind of mad at myself.
Then I went to work and made a lot of ice cream deserts, which made me more cheerful.
